Queensland Education approved Kindergarten Program Our Emergent (play based) Curriculum follows the national Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) A Registered Early Childhood Teacher delivers the Kindergarten program 15 hours per week Free Kindy in 2024 for children aged 4 and over- Taking enrolments now!

Kindergarten Program

Your child can attend an approved Kindergarten for the year prior to Prep.

Our Emergent (play based) Curriculum follows the national Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and our educators work in close collaboration with families to ensure appropriate outcomes are achieved for each child during their most valuable early years.

A Registered Early Childhood Teacher delivers the Kindergarten program that follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. The program operates for a minimum of  15 hours per week within our long day care program.

Kindergarten, known as kindy, is an educational program for children in the year before Prep. Free Kindy is 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and is free for Queensland children attending a government-approved kindergarten program like ours from 1 January 2024.

The Kindergarten program is supported by Education Queensland. Children are encouraged to learn through play and to enrich their learning prior to the prep year of schooling. This, in turn, gives them the emotional skills to successfully transition into the classroom environment.

    My daughter loves Kindyland Kids, she is never ready to come home when I pick her up. All the teacher are amazing & build really good relationships with the children. I love the Montessori learning they do, my daughter has grown & developed so much since being with them.     Nan’s Child Care

    The spread of COVID-19 has presented challenges we would never have imagined. Each of us has been impacted by the virus, however, Nan's childcare centre has allowed me to complete my professional placement and have supported me for the entire placement. Nan's childcare has played a significant role in supporting the community as well as understand the importance and value of professional experience. I am so grateful that I have been part of Nan's community even for a short period of time as I feel the real meaning of inclusive community, get to know the amazing educators and wonderful families.

    To Nans, thank you so much for providing me with an enjoyable and memorable professional experience. You are all amazing!

    My daughter has been there for 4 years and has been in every room. Now my son goes as well. Amazing teachers really hands-on activities. They come home covered in sand and dirt every day which to me is the sign of an amazing day for a kid.

    Kindyland Kids has help foster my three boys’ independence with strong sense of community spirit for the past 4 years. Twennie through to Kindy and after school care, we have experienced it all. The positive changes since Miss Lauren came on board both from the look of the centre and the introduction of Montessori, it has been so amazing. All of Kindyland staff has been so kind and thoughtful toward my little family, I am forever grateful.

    Kindyland Kids – Vacation Care Program

    My children have attended the Kindyland Vacation Care program for a number of years. They have thoroughly enjoyed the range of activities and excursions that make up the exciting program offered. It is such a bonus being able to use the pool at Harbour Town Swim Academy and they have loved being out in the community visiting parks and local attractions. I have peace of mind that they are well cared for and they love being with a different group of friends and having a break from their school environment.
